Nora Kirgan Frank began piano lessons with her mother at the age of 8. At 17 she began studies with Irma Harter at the Edith McIntosh School of Music on Long Island, New York. Herself a pupil of Robert Casadesus, Isidor Philipp, and the great piano pedagogue, Theodor Leschetizky, Ms. Harter's instruction emphasized the detailed mechanics of relaxed, bell-like tone production, which is a tradition Nora continues in her own piano studio. Nora earned her Bachelor's degree at Adelphi University, where she studied exclusively with acclaimed concert and recording artist David Bradshaw, who himself was trained in the Leschetizky method. She studied with Laurie Ticehurst-Poole at the Bryn Mawr Conservatory from 1996 to 2005. Nora has performed in recitals at Carnegie Hall's Weill Concert Hall, and she has participated in several international piano festivals.
